Privacy Policy

MTG Tools is a small, hobby project. This page explains what data the site collects, the cookies it uses, and the third-party services it relies on. The short version: no advertising, no cross-site tracking, and nothing sold to anyone.
What we collect
- Account details. If you sign in, we store your email address so we can log you in and identify your account. Most tools also work as a guest, which keeps a small identifier so your data persists on your device without an email.
- Content you create. Things like display names, tournaments you host or join, pairings, match results, and standings.
- Basic usage data. Aggregate, anonymous page and performance metrics (see Analytics below). We do not build advertising or cross-site profiles.
Cookies
We only use strictly necessary cookies — the session cookies that keep you signed in. These are required for accounts and tournaments to work, and they set no advertising or tracking cookies. Because we don't use non-essential cookies, there's no cookie-consent banner to click through.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to see which pages get used and to keep the site fast. Both are cookieless and privacy-friendly: they don't set cookies, don't store persistent identifiers on your device, and don't track you across other sites. Metrics are aggregated and anonymous.
Services we rely on
- Vercel — hosting, plus the analytics above.
- Supabase — accounts, sign-in (including magic-link login emails), and the database that stores your content.
- Scryfall — card data and images. When the site shows a card image, your browser requests it from Scryfall directly, so Scryfall receives your IP address the same way any image host does.
Data retention & your choices
We keep your account and content until you ask us to remove them. To request deletion of your account or data, reach out via the contact form or the Discord. We don't sell your data or share it for advertising.
Children
MTG Tools isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Questions? The Discord is the fastest way to reach us.
